In 2017, over 50 students benefited from our Stationery Drive. With your assistance we can make an even more profound impact on students and their learning experience, especially to families in dire need of assistance with basic school supplies.
Beneficiaries of our last drive excelled in both community and school work. Accolades must be given to three (3) special children, between ages 5 years to 10 years, who have achieved Grade A’s in their examination, despite all odds.
The Challenge we're Facing
Many families are struggling. With high unemployment, and more than 65,000 students enrolled in the free School Feeding Programme, many parents are unable to provide the basic school supplies their children need to be effective. In addition, schools across the country are facing severe budget cuts and lack the funding to purchase necessary supplies.
How you can help
Collect supplies for schools! You can help children in school by giving them the tools they need to succeed. Donate school supplies by contacting any of the organizers of the Stationery Drive at Cashew Gardens (868) 393-3397 or (868) 743-7247 or email eduofficer.cgcc@gmail.com. This drive will be held on 17 August at our Home Work and Activity Centre, Cashew Gardens, Chaguanas.
